Peanut - Shelled
Peanuts are rich in calories and protein making them a favorite of woodpeckers, nuthatches, jays and chickadees. Shelled peanuts need to be offered in a peanut-specific feeder.
*Please note peanuts are prone to be colonized by aspergillus mold which produces aflatoxins. Aflatoxins are toxic and carcinogenic to humans and birds. Discard any peanuts that are old or that look or smell spoiled.
