Seed Mix - High Energy

The Maska High Energy Seed Mix contains black oil sunflower, safflower, colza, crushed corn, crushed peanuts, white millet, red millet and canary seeds. This calorie-rich mix is especially enjoyed in the cold winter months by sparrows, juncos, goldfinches and more. Its low filler seed content reduces waste. Filler seeds are often cheap seeds added to mixes that birds generally do not like and toss off the feeders to access the seeds they like. A percentage of the profit of all Maska High Energy Seed bags sold across the province go to Le Nichoir.

Food safety

To prevent food poisoning in birds please remember to:
- Store seeds in a dry cool location such as a garage or a basement. Do not store seeds outside.
- Do not use seeds that are too old. Depending on the seeds, shelf life varies from a few months to a year.
- Do not leave seeds in a feeder for more than 2 weeks.
- Toss seeds that are wet, spoiled or moldy.
